Art & Costumes

On 22 January 2013 sixty children from Holy Trinity School visited the video-sound installation Streets of… 7 cities in 7 minutes at Rich Mix. During the day children had the opportunity to engage creatively with the themes of the exhibition in a workshop led by the artist Alda Terracciano and her collaborators. As a result they created a 7 meters long collage, which was exhibited at Rich Mix as part of the Living Archaeology of the Place programme and in April 2013 at Brixton Library. Back at school, in preparation of their final performance, children worked with Rudy Rocha, director of TARU Arts Group, to make their own costumes with recycled paper and other materials.
