Memories of Lisbon were collected during two Memory Sessions on 23rd August and 11th October 2012 at Centro Português de Apoio à Comunidade Lusófona, in South London (UK) as part of the Living Archaeology of the Place programme. Participants, who either came from Lisbon or lived there, expressed their views on its cultural traditions, colonial past, Fado music, religious celebrations, family ties, food, and people’s everyday life. An additional Memory Session was carried out at San Domenico Maggiore Museum in Naples (Italy) on 1st October 2014.
