Memories of Mumbai were collected during a Memory Session on 22nd August 2012 at the Asian Centre (The Council of Asian People), in Wood Green, North London (UK) as part of the Living Archaeology of the Place programme. Participants, who either came from Mumbai or lived there, expressed their views on its cultural traditions, the colonial past, life in the streets, and the importance of food in people’s everyday life.
