Memories of Salvador de Bahia were collected during two Memory Sessions on 11th October and 15th November 2012 at Centro Português de Apoio à Comunidade Lusófona, in South London (UK) as part of the Living Archaeology of the Place programme. Participants, who either came from Salvador or had lived there, express their views on its ancestral memories, religion, rituals, celebrations, food and music, and their connection to Candomblé religious practice and African culture.
