Life in Performance
On March 16, 2005 Future Histories presented its project Re-membering Asian Performance at The National Archives, Kew, Surrey. The event was marked by Life in Performance, a live installation curated by Alda Terracciano in collaboration with motiroti artistic director Ali Zaidi and presented in the foyer of The National Archives. Images selected from the archive collections held by Future Histories were projected on the invited guests. Sounds and light sculptures from the motiroti archive were displayed in the space, accompanied by tastes and flavours especially prepared by the chef Shams Uddin in collaboration with Ali Zaidi. The event saw the participation of Nitin Sawhney, a multi awarded music composer, and Felix Cross, artistic director of Nitro Theatre Company.
